BackyardEOS is a specialized Windows-only software suite developed by Guylain Rochon of O'Telescope specifically for astrophotographers using Canon DSLR cameras.

Despite its socio‑economic relevance (irrigation, micro‑hydropower) and the presence of several endemic taxa, BT remains understudied. This paper addresses the knowledge gap by (i) quantifying the torrent’s hydrological regime, (ii) characterising its geomorphological dynamics, (iii) documenting its biological communities, and (iv) evaluating future vulnerabilities under climate change. The study integrates field measurements, remote sensing, and modelling techniques to produce a multi‑disciplinary synthesis that can inform regional water‑management policies and conservation strategies.
