After this, Molina rebranded his entire project as Magnolia Electric Co. — a democracy of sorts, with a fixed band. The album itself was recorded in two days at Electrical Audio in Chicago with Steve Albini (Nirvana, Pixies, Joanna Newsom). Albini’s recording style is famously transparent, honest, and dynamic.
