Windows 11 was built with a heavy emphasis on modern hardware security and standards. Broadcom 802.11ac adapters, while still perfectly capable of handling modern internet speeds, are technically considered "legacy" hardware compared to the newer Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and Wi-Fi 7 standards. Consequently, Microsoft and Broadcom do not always prioritize day-one driver updates for these adapters via Windows Update.
