If your CNC computer is networked (even slightly), a cracked Mastercam X5 can install a backdoor. A recent report from Dragos Security noted that threat actors are increasingly targeting manufacturing via "legacy software cracks" because shops have poor segmentation between their office Wi-Fi and the shop floor.
Install Mastercam X5. Once done, you must download the "Mastercam X5 MU1" (Maintenance Update 1) from a legacy archive. This fixes many graphics glitches on modern screens.
