Zokhawthunder 3 In Mizo

Zokhawthar is only 5 km from the Myanmar border. Before the 2021 coup, it was a sleepy customs point. Today, it hosts over 15,000 internally displaced Chin people in makeshift camps. The actual in Zokhawthar is the constant sound of artillery from across the hill—specifically from the battles in Rikhawdar and Falam townships.

The hero, “Thansanga” (a nod to a common Mizo name meaning “brave companion”), returns to Zokhawthar after a failed attempt to reach the Chin State capital, Hakha. He discovers that the military junta has placed a bounty on his head. Instead of fleeing, he teams up with a rag-tag group of refugees, a retired Mizo rifleman, and a mysterious woman who runs a tuai (betel nut) stall. Zokhawthunder 3 In Mizo
