An ISO file is a 1:1 copy of the game disc. It contains all the data, including the video partitions and security sectors. While ISO is the standard for disc images, the Xbox 360 cannot read an ISO file directly from a hard drive without special software to mount it or convert it.
This is a container format used for digitally purchased games from the Xbox Live Marketplace. A GOD file is essentially a compressed and encrypted version of the game data. On a stock console, these files are stored in a specific folder structure ( Content\0000000000000000\ ) and appear in the dashboard as digital titles.
