This is the darkest theory. Some claim the file is genuine surveillance footage from a decommissioned state hospital in North Dakota. The "dark floors" refer to Ward C, where the lights were kept off to "calm the patients." According to leaked maintenance logs (of questionable authenticity), a security guard walked that hallway every night at 3:00 AM. One night, the guard went in to investigate an open door. The log says he never came out. The only thing found was his camera, which had recorded exactly 2 minutes and 15 seconds of the hallway before the battery died. The file was labeled DARK FLOORS.avi by the forensic team.
