Many torrents or illegal download sites host heavily compressed versions of films (often 700MB .avi files from the mid-2000s). The Fountain is a film of quiet silences and sweeping, detailed visuals. Compression artifacts (blocky pixels) can obscure the details in the dark, shadowy scenes of the Inquisition or the blinding brightness of the nebula.
