Before the exploit pack can fire, it needs victims. Attackers use a TDS to filter and redirect web traffic. For example, if an attacker compromises a legitimate news website, they will inject a hidden iframe or script. This script communicates with the TDS. If a user visits from a corporate IP address (which might be a honeypot), the TDS redirects them to a blank page. If the user appears to be a regular consumer with an outdated browser, the TDS passes them to the exploit pack’s landing page.
