Oylum, dressed in her simple, faded clothes, walks through marble hallways where her reflection stares back at her—broken, fragmented. The director uses mirrors and reflections constantly throughout to symbolize the duality of the characters. Oylum sees who she is; Harun sees who he fears he might become.
