The film introduces us to John Wick (played by Keanu Reeves), a retired hitman who has lost his wife, Helen (Bridget Moynahan), to a terminal illness. John is struggling to come to terms with his loss, and his life is turned upside down when a young thug, Iosef Tarasov (Alfie Allen), breaks into his home, kills his dog (a gift from his late wife), and steals his vintage Mustang. Unbeknownst to Iosef, John Wick is not a man to be trifled with.
