Setup Guide: Rfactor 2 Car
In older sims, the rule was often "lower pressure equals more grip." In rFactor 2, due to the sophisticated tyre flex modeling, the optimal range is specific to the car.
| Symptom | The rF2 Cause | The Fix | | :--- | :--- | :--- | | Understeer at entry (turn-in) | Nose dives too much | Increase front slow bump OR increase rear rebound | | Understeer at mid-corner | General lack of front grip | Lower front ride height OR increase front ARB | | Oversteer at exit (power on) | Rear squats, hits bump stop | Increase rear slow bump OR soften rear spring | | Car feels "vague" | Dampers too soft globally | Increase all slow bump/rebound by 2 clicks | | Car crashes over kerbs | Dampers too stiff globally | Decrease all fast bump/rebound by 2 clicks | rfactor 2 car setup guide
