This provides an unmistakable mechanical whine that enthusiasts crave, but it makes the engine topology dense. Performing a valve adjustment on a V4 is significantly more complex than on an inline-four. The revue technique provides the specific shim sizes, cylinder angles, and timing procedures necessary to do the job correctly. Without it, you risk catastrophic engine failure.
