Version 1.12 represents the end of an era. It has all the "modern" features (concrete, terracotta, observers, shulker boxes) but lacks the overwhelming complexity of later updates. There are no phantoms attacking after three sleepless nights, no sprawling deep dark biomes, and no archaeology brushes. It is Minecraft at its most refined, without bloat.
