These are sequences rendered using the actual game engine. While their graphics look dated today—blocky fingers and low-poly trees—their is timeless. Blizzard used the isometric camera to create intimacy. In scenes like "The Culling of Stratholme," the camera drops low to the ground, forcing you to see the madness in Prince Arthas’s eyes as he justifies genocide. The voice acting carries the weight here. These sequences are efficient; they don't pull you out of the game but rather enhance the mission briefing. warcraft 3 cutscenes
